With seared Ahi Tuna:
2011 Domaine de la Tournelle "Plousard" Still quite nice, despite getting on in age and my poor storage habits.

Light cloudy ruby color. Nose of sour cherry carries through on the palate, with a Jenny and Francois "funk" amplified by an unexpected but actually quite pleasant and delicious touch of spritz. Went very well with the tuna, and the Plousard was a nice change from Pinot!
2013 Dry Creek Vineyards DCV2 Zinfandel. Probably a bit of a palate shocker, but Joe wanted a bigger wine after the Plousard! Much heavier, of course. But a nice core of acidity, and a strong note of black pepper. Would have probably enjoyed this more if it was not such a dramatic followup to the French wine!
