2001 Meulenhof Erdener Treppchen Riesling Auslese #18 - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (11/12/2016)Made some Indian masoor dal for dinner, and so opted for a German Riesling. This one turned out to be AP number 15 (there are several versions of this same wine in 2001), and a complete stunner. Peach, pineapple, creamy vanilla accents and a stony base introduced a perfectly balanced, rich yet elegant mouthful of wine that completely blew both of us away. Early to midway up the slope towards maturity, this has years and years to go. What a wine!

Sounds terrific. I guessed Treppchen when I saw the title.
