2014 Alain Hudelot-Noellat Bourgogne
Very well made Bourgogne that shows bright cherry and tart strawberry fruit, with a subtle underpinning of herbs and earth on its light/medium bodied frame. The wine veered a bit more towards cranberry, with a bit of drying tannin on the finish as time wore on. I tend to drink Bourgogne quickly while waiting for village and 1er cru wines, but this one could benefit from 2-3 years to mellow out a bit.

I have some of his 1er and grans crus from the late 1990s. This can be an excellent estate.

I like their current wines more than those from prior to 2005.
