WTN: 25 Year Old Scheurebe

1991 Muller-Catoir Haardter Mandelring Scheurebe Kabinett
Sometimes things surprise on the upside, and that was certainly the case here. This had lots of life, with delicious spice, sage and grapefruit aromas and flavors, and a firm, chiseled base of minerality that thrilled but did not hurt. 1991 produced bright wines with lots of extract, and they are holding up very well in some cases. This was a real treat.

Amazing, David!
I might have an old, forgotten bottle of a Scheurebe Auslese from Lingenfelder, probably older than yours. Gives me hope that it might actually still be alive!
