Alsatian Riesling Q

I've made Riesling for many years and I've always finished off-dry; about 1- 1.75% RS. This year I am tempted to make it totally dry, so I would like a benchmark. What would be a good, typical Alsatian Riesling < $30, to use as a tasting guide?

Trimbach is a dependable dry Alsace producer and widely available. The Cuvee Frederic Emile used to be about $30 but is pricier now. But the regular yellow label is $15-18, and the Reserve a couple dollars more.

Glad to hear you are making wine this year! Best of luck! When dealing with "UP-State" Riesling don't fuss with the numbers too much, just go by your taste.
