Hi, I am building a website for a class all on wine tasting in my area and would appreciate some feedback on it:

Yes, the local wine events link might be less than useful in Alberta.

Yup, Bob here in Edmonton. Do not have a clue what this lady is trying to do with her one page site.
The other site linked is good. The Tomato, a local monthly food magazine, also lists all the big wine happenings.

Currently it has 172 events listed in Alberta. Localwineevents.com has been online since 2000, it's very useful, especially for finding wine tastings when travelling.

No reason why not to create a competing site, especially one focused on one particular area, but knowing one is competing with an establised site is information I thought would be useful to the OP. Why re-invent the wheel?

The local wine events site wants $59 for posting an event. Many wine stores in my area advertise their tastings inhouse, two I know for sure always sell out.

Awesome start. I agree with Sir Peter to maybe reconsider your chosen images for these. It may be an unfinished site that's why the links don't work, but it's a good start

and while I'm here, I just recently made 2 websites and would appreciate your comments as well.
