2012 Bel Lago Gewurztraminer: from the Leelanau Penn. of Michigan, this is definitely one of the finest Gew. from the new world that I have tasted. The ABV of 14.9% lead me to believe that it would be dry and fully extracted and I was correct. Pale straw in color, the nose was very FULL of rose petal and spicey pear. The palate followed but showed some wonderful mid-palate and finish bitterness of spicey pear and grapefruit that I really loved. Very viscous, I will be ordereing more of this!
