2013 Littorai Pinot Noir Hirsch Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (8/26/2016)
Dark and coiled like a spring, this shows some exotic spice elements and a black cherry fruit core. It's dense but well balanced, and needs several years to unwind and develop. Hold, hold, hold.

2014 Ramey Pinot Noir Platt Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (8/26/2016)
Open, linear and fruity, this is very drinkable for such a young wine. It's quite supple, and seems to be laying all its cards on the table. The balance is good, so perhaps it can age and develop on that, but there is no need for long term cellaring, as it's very enjoyable now.
