A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Over a month ago, I discovered WineMonger (www.WineMonger.com) out of SanAnselmo. Stephan & Emily Schindler have an outstanding portfolio of Austrian wines, mostly one unfamilar to me. I ordered a mixed case & we tasted them 2 weeks ago. I was mightly impressed. It's been 30 yrs since I've had a Ruster Ausbruch, so took a flyer on this one. I was blown away by it. Maybe the best Austrian dessert wine I've yet had...as good as any of the Krachers I've tried. Maybe better. I was quite struch by the youthfulness and the bright/vibrant/scintillating character. Not at all heavy-handed on the botrytis. Amazing stuff. I must visit this guy when I'm in Rust in a month.
