A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. The Ojai White (and Ojai Red) are the leftovers from Adam's white wines. When they pump from barrel at bttling time, the leftover dregs in the bottom of the barrels are save, put thru a loose filtration, blended, then put to btl. The vintage date is not identified and you have to look on the btl for the laser-etched code that identifies the bottling date.
The Ojai White (and Red) actually seem to develop nicely w/ some age. This is a pretty tart/lean Chard and I expect it will be a lot better in 1-5 yrs.
