Tried this one Fri night:
1. Garryana Riesling WillametteVlly/OR (mature vines; 104 cs; 13.3%; www.Garryana.com) McMinnville/OR 2015: Med.yellow color; somewhat minerally/stony/herbal light pineapple/floral/R rather pretty/attractive nose; totally dry quite tart/tangy/metallic/steeky/stony light floral/pineapple/R bit CO2/refreshed pleasant/attractive bit austere flavor; med.long tart/tangy/CO2/refreshed mineral/stony light pineapple/R finish; a tart/tangy bit austere rather pleasant R but just that.
$25.00 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. The name comes from the local OR oak, Quercus Garryana, from which their barrels are crafted.
After a recent article (where?) about the glories of old-vine R in OR, I've been trying to try as many as I can. I found this R rather interesting, but not terribly compelling. Supposedly, there was botrytis on a fraction of the grapes, but I didn't pick up any such hints.
