WTN: A Bolt Out Of The Blue

by David M. Bueker » Mon Jul 11, 2016 7:59 pm

2013 Clos Saron Cinsault Out of the Blue - USA, California (7/11/2016)
The winding path of a (generally) natural wine continues, as this bottle is back to the primary, grapey state of the first bottle I tried in 2014, versus the second bottle I had in 2015. It's incredibly juicy, and bright, with a touch of herbal and briary complexity on the finish, but really just fruit upon pure fruit. I have one bottle left, and really no idea what to do with it, except wait at least another year. Fun but frustrating.

Another California name I don't recall seeing before--may have in a previous note of yours, though. May even have made the same comment in response. Will have to look them up.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

They are very interesting and often soulful wines. Pain to source, but worth the effort.
