A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This is a fizzy sweet dessert wine from within Asti. It is from the Malvasia di Schierano grape. and can have up to 15% Freisa therein.
This is the kind of wine that goes so well w/ salami & other charcuterie. For a wine tasting for novices I did up at GhostRanch, I served the Malvira Bribet (frizzante Brachetto) w/ several different salamis. The people were blown away by the combination. Then I served a chocolate salami (non-pork) w/ the Guisti Visciola and they were pushed over the edge.
