2000 Ch Kirwan, Margaux.

Guess you lot could count the number of Bordeaux posts from me here on this forum on one hand!
This lovely aged Kirwan was served at the wine store staff BBQ I have already mentioned. Think was decanted 2 hrs, very nice medium ruby color, did not look for bricking as we were outdoors in the sunlight. Berries, plum, pepper on the nose, nice aged tones indeed.
Nice medium tannins here, v good length. Pencil, plummy, oak, "tobacco" from one or two across from me. Bill says he has 3 in his cellar..he looked very happy!

2000 is a lovely vintage, and just starting to come into its own.
