A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. PontNeuf: "The New Bridge to the Old World". The wnry of Mary & Doug Danielak. I have, of course, followed Doug from the very start, when he made some exceptional Rhones w/ Jim Paras at JadeMtnWnry.
PontNeufWines
The Viognier & Syrah from Jim's MtVeeder ParasVnyd were some of the best I've had. When JadeMtn was sold, he made wines under the ParasVnyd label for awhile. Doug disappeared from sight for awhile and then resurfacted w/ his & Mary's PontNeuf label. The focus is a return to their Burgundy roots. Mary used to work for importer BeckyWasserman and then became the wine buyer for the OakvilleGrocery.
These wines were provided by LarryHayes in our group. I've long wanted to try Doug's PontNeuf wines, but to order them, you had to join his wine club. Don't need anuther wine club to join, so I'd never been able to taste them.
