Cracked this last night at dinner:

Carlisle Compagni-Portis SonomaVlly/SonomaCnty WW (13.7%; Plntd: 1954; GWT/TrousseauGris/R; 200 cs) 2014: Light yellow color; very fragrant/perfumed floral/R/spicy GWT/lychee some mineral/perfumed talc very spicy beautiful nose; quite tart/mineral/stony very fragrant/R/light lychee/GWT bit earthy/savory/perfumed talc lovely flavor; very long floral/lychee/R/bit GWT bit earthy/perfumed talc spicy tart rich/dry finish; not at all like a Calif R or GWT; speaks mostly of understated R and quietly of GWT; much like an AltoAdige Riesling, a bit like a Carso Malvasia d'Istria; a beautiful wine at a great price. $28.65

1. This wine is really hitting its stride. Should go on for another 4-6 yrs. I hate wines like this. They're so good that you keep going back for another glass & when you sit down to eat, it's 2/3'rds gone.
