TN: 2009 Charles Joguet Chinon Les Petites Roches
Cellared 4 yrs, 13% alc, good nat cork, decanted one hour and consumed over 2 days.
Very good color with medium ruby tones, slight bricking. Good depth of centre, medium intensity.
Pepper on the nose, bell pepper brief, warm plum, black fruits, violets on day 2.
Initial entry thought is oh so dry (some CT notes mention ripe fruit). Still tannic, obvious acidity here, "overall austere" from across the table. Black cherry, some raspberry too, sure is earthy too. Have to wonder about the condition of this `09?
