WTN: 2014 Coronica "Co" Istrian Malvasia

Wow. This was interesting. A Croation Malvasia.

Definitely had the floral quality of other Malvasias I have sampled (not a large sample), Yellow roses? But light on the tongue, not heavy or cloying. And, there was a lovely saline (I keep using this word, because I keep finding wines that give me this exhilarating quality!) core that really made the wine fresh and lively. This was a nice surprise!

Yup...big 2'nd on this, Oliver. Those from the Carso/Karst, w/ or w/o skin-contact, can be pretty compelling. Especially
SandiSkerk's. I like them because they're almost always finished dry and their muscatty fragrance is not as intense/
more subtle. Fell in love w/ them over there.
I've not had this Croatian one that Brian had.
