WTN: Meet a Sweety!

Elderton Winemakers presents:

2002 Riverina Botrytis Semillon
Barossa Valley 10% alc.

My first botrytis experience to date!
Absolutely good stuff! The complexity of the nose is quite different that an icewine given the "noble rot" influence, but it's not unpleasant and the concentration is AMAZING!! This is like a wine FLAVOR-POWER-PUNCH! Honey, honeycomb, apricots, toffee, and cinnamon graham cracker on the palate is great and the acidity gives it tremendous balance. It paired very well with my first personally home-made pecan pie. Outstanding, long finish; slightly viscous texture, but nothing unexpected or pejorative. Very nice, just another great sweety!
"Wine can of their wits the wise beguile;
Make the sage frolic, and the serious smile."

- Homer 900 B.C.
