2010 Tercero Syrah White Hawk Vineyard - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Barbara County (5/19/2016)Plenty of depth and focus on this wine, but it seems more tightly wound than my last bottle. Perhaps it's closing in a little bit? Black fruit and licorice with a touch of baking spices still provide a good bit of drinking pleasure, but either this needs more air (I gave it 90 minutes after a double decant) or a few years to wake up from slumber. There's plenty of back-end structure to allow this to sit in the cellar for a while and open back up.
