WTN: Novy Syrah SonomaCnty '09...(short/boring)

Tried this last night:
1. Novy Syrah SonomaCnty (14.6%; www.NovyFamilyWines.com) 2009: Very dark/near black color; intense boysenberry/blackberry/Syrah/ripe slight herbal/peppery/rosemary rather toasty/smokey/Siduri oak complex lovely nose; soft bit tangy/metalliclush/ripe blackberry/boysenberry/Syrah rather toasty/charred/smokey/oak bit chocolatey flavor w/ light bitey tannins; very long ripe/blackberry/boysenberry/Syrah/licorice/chocolaty strong Siduri oak/smokey/toasty finish w/ light ripe/tangy tannins; a bit on the tangy side & starting to dry out slightly; lots of classic Siduri oak & ripe Syrah fruit and probably slightly beyond its peak but really great drinking. $14.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This is the basic Novy Syrah blend. Comes at a stupid/silly price. Loaded w/ classic Siduri oak but mighty tasty.
