2014 Enfield Wine Co. Tempranillo Pretty Horses - USA, California (5/4/2016)
This is a bit lighter and much more open than the Enfield Shake Ridge Tempranillo, and that is OK by me, because it gives me an option while I let the big boy age. This wine is all about its beautiful aromatics. Red fruit, rose, herb and spice all weave into the mix, with the red fruit and spice echoing on the palate. There is plenty of depth and sufficient tannin for short to mid term cellaring, but it drinks really well now, so why wait.
