We tried this last Wed as a mystery red:
1. DryCreekVnyd Zin HeritageVines SonomaCnty (14.5%; 16198 cs; 78% Zin/20% PS/1% Primitivo/1% Carignane; SaH: 24.6 Brix; pH: 3.62, TA: 0.62; Vine age: 20+ yrs) 2014: Very dark color; some vanilla/Am.oak classic DryCreekVlly Zinberry/raspberry/very spicy slight licorice/RCCola wonderfully aromatic nose; some tart/tangy bright/very spicy/raspberry/blackberry/Zinberry/Zin light vanilla/oak flavor w/ some tight/wiry tannins; very long/lingering bright/very spicy/Zinberry/raspberry/blackberry/RCCola light vanilla/oak finish w/ light firm tannins; a lovely classic DryCreekVlly Zin at a great price. $22.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This is the latest release of the DCV Heritage Zin. It is a bit bigger & shows more depth than previous Heritage Zins. May be, just maybe, their best Heritage Zin yet.
You can find this discounted if you look around to around $16/btl. We got a bunch here in NM at $13.50 w/ discount. I am a bad person for buying a wine thise good at that low a price.

Seems like only a couple of years ago that they were bragging about doing the grafting of the OV zin onto the new stock.
It's turned out to be one of my favorite Zins.
