This was brought as a mystery wine by Norm:
1. LeCuvier Chard PasoRobles (SaH: 25.5 Brix; 15.4%; skin-contact) 2012: Dark golden/bronze color; strong very ripe/honeyed/bit botrytis/smokey/apple cider bit herbal oak slightlu phenolic rather strange/complex nose; soft/fat very ripe/honeyed somewhat cidery/resiny/bit phenolic some toasty/oak very bizarre flavor w/ slight tannic bite; long bit tannic very ripe/honeyed some cidery/resiny bit toasty/oak finish w/ light tannic bite; no Chard character to speak of; lots of overripe honeyed character & fair amount of oak but rather muted phenolic character; a very bizarre rendition of Chard but not at all unpleasant. $30.00

1. I suspect this might be a skin-contact white from the color, but the phenolic character was barely evident. I actually kinda liked the wine, in the same sense that I find Quasimodo rather endearing.
