Disgorged:06.02.06 (Nice to have that info on the label) A blend of Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Mure makes a fine bubbly. I like their regular bottlings too. This one has sultry and rich green apple, pear, starfruit and melon rind. The bubbles still penetrate on impact with help from the zesty acidity. Being disgorged only ten months ago helps with the freshness, but notes of biscuit are just starting to develop. It's very good and affordable (in Alsace anyway) 12,5% alc. 15€

Prost!

I had good experiences with Mure's Alsace still rieslings and gewurztraminers from the late 1980s. And bad experiences with vendanges tardives (excessively flabby, low in acidity, and short-lived) from the same epoch. This estate certainly is capable of excellent efforts.
