Thank you! We went to a nearby "comfort food" restaurant. We shared a Green Goddess salad, a slice of smoky pistachio and pork pate, and then platefuls of fried chicken and waffles. Peppery crackly crust. Crispy cheesey waffles with balsamic maple syrup. Also buttery mashed potatoes and savoy cabbage slaw. We moved this all along with cider, Cremant du Jura and Sancerre Rouge.

Now, let the desserts begin... with Foreau 1995 Vouvray Moelleux Reserve. :D
