"Package damaged in transit. Returning to shipper."

I hate FedEx.

I also prefer UPS.

But I think the worst words in wine are, "My customers are going to be really happy that I bought all these corks on discount!"

"The vintage that you requested was not available at time of shipment. We have substituted the XXXX vintage. We trust that you will find this excellent/stellar/exceptional vintage to your liking. Please accept our sincere apology."

I didn't "request" that vintage, I "BOUGHT" that vintage because that is the vintage I wanted! If I had wanted the XXXX vintage THAT is the one I would have purchased!

That happened to me a couple of times when I ordered wines though local distributors. Lesson learned.

At least they sent a note. Happens to me all the time--and I don't get squat except a Wha-at? when I call and complain after receipt of order.
