2001 Vollenweider Wolfer Goldgrube Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (4/16/2016)This is in a lovely early maturity spot right now. There is still plenty of youthful apple and peach fruit, along with smoky, creamy minerals that add lots of aromatic and flavor complexity. Moderate sweetness and firm, balancing acidity round out the picture of a classy Mosel Riesling that drinks well now, and should continue to drink well for another 10+ years.

Here with this heading “WTN: The Wolfer at the Door” I finally though you “caved in” and were going to give us a lively tasting note on a “local wine”- “Wolffer Estate”
Salute
