Tried this new arrival last night:
1. Matthiasson WW NapaVlly (12.5%; www.Matthiasson.com; 50% SauvBlanc/25% RibollaGialla/20% Semillon/5% Tocai friulano) Napa 2014: Med.light yellow color; quite mineral/stony/chalky lightly floral/mango/pear/pear blossom bit spicy attractive nose; quite tart/tangy/lean rather stony/mineral/chalky pear/floral/mango/crisp almost Chablis-like flavor; very long tart/tangy/zippy/bit metallic rather stony/mineral/chalky some floral/mango/pear finish; a rather attractive terroir-driven bright/savory white; reminds a lot of Savoie Roussette or Jacquere but w/ more richness; really needs 2-5 yrs yet to get really interesting; a bit on the pricey side for what it is. $40.00
