2005 Domaine Huet Vouvray Pétillant Cuvée Huet Brut - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray Pétillant (4/10/2016)Bright and fresh fruit created an immediate contrast to yet another oxidized bottle of the 2002 that was opened immediately before this. The fresh character carried through our entire meal, and gave a clear impression of a wine with a long time to go before it develops into something even remotely mature. Thankfully there have not been any reports of premox in the 2005, so I can cellar my remaining bottles of the '05 with confidence.

Thanks for note. I had this at release, but seem not to have cellared any. I've had better luck with some re '02s& PremOx, but last bottle was very advanced. Hope it was a loner, have several more. Sigh.

I have only 2 bottles left, both LHL Demi-Sec. Crossing my fingers that the extra sugar offers extra protection!

The Demi-sec bottlings have been the worst as far as premox goes.
