The organic price/quality penalty is lower for Austrian wine

I have learned to be extremely wary of any California wine proclaiming "ORGANIC" in big letters on the label. In fact, even the USDA organic symbol is a negative indicator. But, today I am drinking a 2015 Pratsch Niederösterreich rosé that is just stunningly refrisching. I look on the back label and see that it's actually Biohof Pratsch, which is to say that they're an all-organic winery. I have essentially never been disappointed by a Biohof. Hofer grüner veltliner in liter bottles still brings joy even though I've not had it for years due to having to order from NY. Loimer, pretty much all the Austrians seem to be organic. Maybe that's the trick.
