Here's a nice quote ...

Of course, few will have sympathy for wealthy oenophiles crying over their spilled Margaux. Yet the victims also include teachers, doctors, accountants and wine store workers who used their savings to buy special-occasion wines with Premier Cru.

Speaking of PC, someone on Cellar Tracker did an 'all wines' report on wines pending from various sellers. (I didn't even know you could survey all account holders in one like that.) Not earth shattering except that it gives a glimpse into the magnitude of the bottle count of missing wines--and this is Cellar Tracker users only.

Unknown 18.6% Bottles purchased (255,875)
Premier Cru 6.7% Bottles purchased (92,747)
Winery 6.2% Bottles purchased (85,823)
Garagiste 2.3% Bottles purchased (31,960)
BBR 2.1% Bottles purchased (28,607)
JJ Buckley 2.0% Bottles purchased (26,871)
Wine Society 1.4% Bottles purchased (18,713)
Bordeaux Index 1.3% Bottles purchased (18,362)
Farr Vintners 1.2% Bottles purchased (15,889)
Sokolin 1.1% Bottles purchased (15,645)

Interesting numbers!

I'd be curious to see a query by importer but I doubt that's there.

No, importer isn't a field in the CT data base.
