2008 Anthill Farms Pinot Noir Tina Marie Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (3/21/2016)
It's been a while since I opened an Anthill Farms Pinot Noir. It's been six years since my last taste of this bottling. I would never guess the wine is approaching 8 years from the vintage. It still seems quite youthful, with prominent red fruit and bright acids. The color is deep but translucent, though it was that way on release (referring back to my other note on the wine in 2010), so no real development there either. It's a very good drink, with some spicy tones on the palate and good finishing zip. I am just surprised there has not been some change in the wine over the last six years. Drink or hold at this point.

*ok, so she went by Teena...

Given the current US/Canada exchange rate and the normal $50-ish direct cost for these I do not find the price tag too surprising.

I usually get even your most esoteric subject lines, but this time I'm scratching my head. Mary is...?

Vaguely remember her. Did you go to grade school with her or something? She wasn't exactly Sting or someone we all tend to know the real name of!

Nope. Just a disgustingly encyclopedic music memory.
