WTN: Black Cat for a New Cat

2012 EMH Cabernet Sauvignon Black Cat - USA, California, Napa Valley (3/17/2016)
My parents just got a "new" (6 year old rescue) cat, a black cat named Oliver. This was opened in his honor, and showed quite well. It's classic Napa Cabernet, so not in any way overripe or overblown. Lots of black fruit and a healthy back end tannic streak. I like the savory notes in the mid-palate as well. Medium weight and looking like a solid mid-term ager, so hold for 5-7 years and then try again. A lovely drink and a fitting toast to a new cat!

I was worried for a moment that this might be a TN for Zeller Schwarze Katz. On the other hand, the Selbach negoce arm makes one so maybe they aren't all that bad as the stuff popular 20 years ago.

They are that bad, though the Selbach one is remotely tolerable.
