Last night, with oysters, crab, halibut, and cod at B&G in Boston: 2014 Domaine de la Pepière Muscadet de Sèvre et Main "Les Gras Moutons." My first encounter with this cuvée, which I don't think I've seen on the shelves in Chicago. Fantastic, like the regular bottling but with the intensity subtly turned up on all the elements, maintaining the fine balance while pressing the wine halfway, and luckily not further, toward the body of, say, a Sauvignon from further upriver. This should age magnificently.
cheers, Patchen
