A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. A WB friend suggested I check out inVino, a wine shop in Sonoma:
inVinoSignup
Their WebSite is a bit difficult to navigate and takes some getting used to. They have very good prices and some interesting wines. Lots of interesting stuff in their TreVigne cellar collection...which I gather they bought when the restaurant closed.
Anyway, my first order went thru w/o a hitch. Looks like I cleaned them out of the ArbeGarbe White.

2. JuicyRebound: This is, I gather, the lower-end or Rhone program for Doug&Mary Danilek, a wnry that focuses on Burgundian wines made in an OldWorld sense...whatever that means:
PontNeufWines
I have, of course, followed Doug from the very start...when he was winemaker at JadeMountain and made some exceptional Rhone-style wines. And then the winemaker at ParasVnyds until that went under.
Anyway....Doug has great credentials. However...I was profoundly disappointed in this wine. It was a fat/porky/gloppy/candied/confected mess of a wine....a DollyParton Viognier...when Dolly is in her 80's and all that silicone is dangling below her waist. No bargain at any price. Ohhhh...did I mention I didn't care much for this wine??
