When wine shopping I look at the shelf tags to see if a wine might be interesting, knowing that many of them are written by the wineries and others with an interest in sales. But when I get home and open the bottle I've forgotten why I bought it and what it is supposed to go with. Here's a modest suggestion that would help the consumer and might promote sales. Program cash registers to include the shelf tag blurb along with the name and price of the wine. Then I wouldn't have to write down or try to remember what the tag said. Also, I could judge more easily whether the wine really delivered what it was said to.
