Tried this one last night w/ my Shepard'sPie:
1. VillaCreek Avenger PasoRobles (40% Syrah/30% Grenache/30% Mourvedre; 15%; www.VillaCreek.com) 2001: Dark color w/ little bricking; strong ripe/PR jammy/blackberry/Syrah/Grenache/licorice bit earthy some fumey/alcoholic light toasty/oak nose; soft/fat/lush pretty hot/alcoholic classic PR jammy/boysenberry/Syrah/licorice/pungent bit toasty/oak flavor w/ light smooth tannins; soft/lush rather hot/alcoholic/fumey strong boysenberry/PR jammy/Syrah light earthy/pungent finish w/ light gentle tannins; loads of jammy PR Syrah fruit but not much complexity/evolution showing; way to hot/fumey for me.

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This is the wine of ChrisCherry, of VillaCreek restaurant in Paso. When his wines started to reach Saxum level in pricing, I bailed on them.
