Tailttinger Comtes de Champagne 1998

by Glenn Mackles » Sun Feb 14, 2016 12:51 pm

Tailttinger Comtes de Champagne 1998. A bit of a pre-Valentine's celebration (we're going out to dinner tonight.) Served with cheese, crackers and some lump crabmeat. Very nice indeed. A little different than the regular Taittinger house style. Lots of vanilla notes and quite a bit more of the freshly baked bread tastes. Almost like a Pol Roger but more refined. It has a quite long finish for a champagne. A very good treat.

Sounds delicious. Laura and I both love Comtes.

One of my two favorite Champagnes although I can't afford to indulge in it on a regular basis. (I mean the Comtes in general, not that specific vintage.)
