2016-2024; Clones 828/Rochioli/2A/667/777/115; 20% whole-cluster; 13.5%) 2014: Med.color; light earthy/tomatoey some black cherry/PN/spicy light toasty/oak pleasant/simple nose; lightly tart some earthy/dusty light PN/black cherry light toasty/oak flavor w/ light bit bitey tannins; med.long black cherry/black cherry cola/PN light toasty/oak some earthy/tomatoey finish w/ light sharp tannins; a pleasant enough PN but just that. $30.00

1. This is from Molly&Jason Drew up in the MendocinoHighlands above Elk. This is their entry-level Pinot. JasonDrew is, of course, one of the darlings of the IPoB crowd. I generally like his wines. His Albarino & Viognier are two of the best around. And his Syrahs are quite good. This entry-level Pinot was pleasant enough, but just that, and wouldn't tempt me to try any of his other Pinots if this was my first one. A pleasant PN at a more than fair price. "Balanced"..yeah...I'd have to say so.
