Tried this weekend:
1. Vie di Romans Piere Sauvignon DOC: Friuli Isonzo SauvBlanc (14.5%; www.VieDiRomans.It) Mariano del Friuli
2011
: Med.yellow color; some herbal/SB rather mineral/stony light melon/mango attractive nose; soft fairly rich/lush rather melony/mango some herbal/SB/mineral/stony flavor; very long lush/rich melony/mango/herbal/SB some stony/mineral finish; an attractive pleasant enough Friuli SB at an unattractive price. $39.00 (AV)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This is a property run by Gianfranco Gallo. No mention on the label of Gallo. Surprised the lawyers for E&J Gallo have not taken him to court to force him to change his name. The PiereVnyd is the source of the fruit for this Sauvignon. Rather underwhelmed.
