WTN: In the name of wine, what more in the name of wine

by David M. Bueker » Sun Jan 24, 2016 8:32 pm

1999 Pride Mountain Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve - USA, California, Napa Valley (1/24/2016)
It has been eight years since I last had this wine, and it has developed a lovely bouquet of fruit, spice and light herbs along with a seamless palate presence. It is still showing dark fruit on the palate, but what is striking is the silky mid-palate and long finish. It is actually not all that complex on the palate, but the texture is what brings me back sip after sip. It really is silky.
