I opened the 2007 Lingenfelder Halbtrocken Scheurebe tonight and found it to be in great shape. It was the Kabinett from Grosskarlbacher Burgweg in the Pfalz with 11% abv. It was bright but light gold in color with lots of apricot and a bit of pineapple flavors and very good acidity. It seemed a bit more reserved (muted) and medium bodied than other examples I have tasted and it may be in slight decline. Found in a discount bin in Columbus for $19 recently and thought it a good deal and still think so. Muller Catoir is still my favorite but much harder to find and a bit more expensive.
