Claire Vielles Vignes. Labeled 12.5 % abv. Okay, Wine Lovers' Community--How should eight-year-old Chablis look and taste? This is an old gold color. It is definitely not a steely or flinty or crisp white wine. OTOH, it doesn't taste maderized or sherry-like. I really like it. It has appealing apple notes. I'm just not sure if it is aging too rapidly or if this is normal progression. Most of the Chablis I've had was four or fewer years old.
