WTN: Beauliuing for dollars

1974 Beaulieu Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Georges de Latour Private Reserve - USA, California, Napa Valley (1/7/2016)
Served as part of a blind tasting in a series of 4 older Cabernets, this was a wonderful bottle, with cedar, milk chocolate, black tea, floral and sweet red fruit all coming together in a gentle, evolved framework. It was a fully mature bottle, that had crested the peak, and was gently sliding down the hill. Graceful and elegant.

For the curious, this was opened about 30 minutes prior to the tasting, but we did not get to it until it had been open for a total of 90 minutes. No decanting.

Lucky you!
Apparently 74 BV GdlT was bottled over a long period, as orders came in, and that has led to extreme bottle variation.
