TN: 2014 Michel Gassier Viognier Les Piliers, Vin de France.
Chateau de Nages fame, S France, $23 Cdn, 14% alc, opened one hour, Diam enclosure.
Needed some time to show its stuff. Light straw color, tangerine, some herbs, apricot on the nose. Initially thought unbalanced and tad bitter but showed better after an hour or so and good on day 2. Citrus, good acidity, not bracing, peach and some minerals. "Not a tropical style" from across the table. Seemed to have a smoother finish on day 2. Blind, might have been pushed to think Viognier however?
