Opened to pair with Thai curry.

Well mannered and wild at the same time, this shows ripe grapefruit as its aromatic and flavor core (and I would eat lots more grapefruit if it was this good), and then the kinky, wild child Scheurebe elements barge in with spearmint, basil, black currant and a Chenin-like wooliness. Pick your funky flavor elements, because you can find them swirling in the mix, shouting about Timothy Leary and thrills along the pier...Timothy Leary...Timothy Leary

wow, have not seen a post on a Kurt Darting wine in ages..back in the day when we wd find ourselves in Ithaca and visit Northside, wd buy some Darting wines..Northside had a very eclectic selection of German wines..Darting.not available locally(Syracuse area) to the best of my knowledge..very entertaining post, thank you David

Yeah, a Scheurebe note! There is a 2011 Koster-Wolf Albinger Hundskopf Scheurebe Kabinett (Rheinhessen, Germany) downtown for under $20 Cdn. I also believe the 2013 Muller Catoir Scheurebe Trocken is about $33.

I just purchased a Schweinhardt Scheurebe from the Nahe last weekend. Hadn't purchased any of this variety in a long time.
