Tried this tonight w/ leftover (killer) ChacrouteGarni:
1. Vie di Romans PinotGrigio Dessimis DOC: FriuliIsonzo (14%; www.VieDiRomans.It; ViasImports) Mariano del Friuli 2013: Deep gold/copper color; bit earthy/dusty some mango/appley light resiny/phenolic bit metallic interesting nose; fairly tart/tangy bit orangey/honeyed some mango/appley light phenolic/resiny flavor w/ light tangy tannins; long rather tart/tangy/metallic light mango/appley slight resiny/phenolic finish w/ light bitey tannins; obviously ripe PG grapes w/ light (few days) skin contact; not strongly phenolic as the color would suggest and a bit bland/innocuous; disappointing for the price. $40.50 (AV)

1. The color suggested a skin-contact white w/ some interesting character. The WebSite says only a brief cold-soak. A pleasant enough white but just that...a bit on the dull side and very overpriced.
