Tried this last night at our NY Eve dinner:
1. Carlisle TwoAcres RRV/SonomaCnty RW (15.0%; Planted: 1910; Mourv/PS/Syrah/Peloursin/Carignane/AlicanteBouschet; 305 cs) Windsor 2013: Med.dark color; very strong Mourv/plummy/spicy rather dusty/OV/earthy some perfumed/lavender light toasty/oak slight peppery rather complex nose; fairly tart quite dusty/OV strong plummy/Mourv/bit blackberry/cola light toasty/oak rather balanced fairly complex flavor w/ light ripe/smooth tannins; very long strong plummy/Mourv/black cherry cola quite dusty/OV bit rustic/earthy light toasty/oak quite balanced/drinkable finish w/ modest smooth tannins; a pretty classic Twackers and fairly drinkable but the balance should take it out 10 yrs or more.

1. Seems a bit lighter & more polished than previous Twackers I recall. Recalls some of the Bedrock Heritage wines. Mike used to, early on, make a Mondeuse out of Twackers that I really used to like. Not sure what happened to that wine or if the Mondeuse was just mis-identified. Since I followed MikeOfficer from the very start (and before), I first tasted that Mondeuse from a single barrel in his garage there on the west side of SantaRosa during a visit and remember being mightly impressed.
