WTN: Going to the Woodhouse

1985 Smith Woodhouse Porto Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto (12/27/2015)
After 4 hours of decanting: this is a very elegant Port, focused on baking spices and a pine note, with ample red fruit. Maybe it's the season, but it is very Christmas-like. Light to medium bodied, with still prominent tannin, it's an open question whether to drink now or allow the tannins to resolve even more. I like some structure in my Port, so drinking now is fine. Lovely and satisfying wine.
